The inaugural meeting of the Burn Plastic and Chronic Wound Treatment Special Committee of the International Medical Exchange Promotion Association (SXIMEA) and the learning class on new techniques in plastic surgery and beauty were successfully held.

On December 10, 2022, the Inaugural Meeting of The Special Committee on Burn Plastic and Chronic Trauma Treatment and The Learning Class on New Techniques of Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery, hosted by SXIMEA and organized by the burn plastic and medical aesthetic surgery department of Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital, was successfully held in Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital.

According to the requirements of epidemic prevention and control, this meeting was held in a combination of offline and online. Several renowned experts from the industry attended the meeting, including Zhao Chen, President of SXIMEA; Ning Wang, Secretary-General of the SXIMEA; Zhangjun Song, President of Shaanxi People's Hospital; and Professor Dahai Hu, former Chairman of the Burn Surgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Association.

The inaugural meeting of the special committee was held under the auspices of Secretary-General Ning Wang, and all participants voted by scanning the QR codes. As the Secretary of the SXIMEA, Xi Hou monitored and counted the votes, adhering to the principles of fairness, impartiality and openness. Among the 191 members, the first standing committee, secretary general, vice president and president were elected. Dr. Yaowen Sun, Director of the Burn Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department of Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital, was elected as the Chairman of the Special Committee.

Subsequently, Dean Zhangjun Song and Professor Dahai Hu delivered speeches, giving high recognition and affirmation to the preparation and establishment of the Special Committee, and expected to build an excellent academic exchange platform through the establishment of the special committee to continuously improve the diagnosis and treatment level and academic level of burn plastic surgery, chronic trauma treatment and medical aesthetics in our province together with colleagues from medical institutions at provincial, municipal and county levels. Under the leadership of Yaowen Sun, the committee director, and with the joint efforts of the Vice Chairmen, standing committee members and members, we will make more significant contributions to the people of SanQin. Mr. Chen Zhao, President of SXIMEA, and Mr. Liu Wei, Deputy Director of Shaanxi Health Care Commission Medical Administration, delivered their speeches successively. After the establishment meeting, an expert forum on burn plastic and chronic trauma treatment and a study class on new techniques of plastic and cosmetic surgery were held. Prof. Dahai Hu, Prof. Xianjie Ma, Prof. Juntao Han from Xijing Hospital, Prof. Youwen Sun and Prof. Zhenxin Zhang from Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital, Prof. Maoguo Shu from the First Affiliated Hospital of Jiaotong Xi'an University, Prof. Houan Xiao from the Ninth Hospital of Xi'an, Prof. Jiaao Yu from Jilin University Hospital, Prof. Jing Li from Tangdu Hospital, Prof. Liu Bin from Xi'an Central Hospital, Prof. Chen Hui from the Fourth Hospital of Xi'an and other famous experts in China gave fantastic Professor Jiaao Yu from Jilin University Hospital, Professor Jing Li from Tangdu Hospital, Professor Liu Bin from Xi'an Central Hospital and Professor Hui Chen from Xi'an Fourth Hospital gave terrific lectures. From burn treatment, repair and reconstruction, and chronic trauma treatment to the latest new technologies and plastic and cosmetic surgery concepts, the participating experts shared their rich clinical experience and latest research results with 4667 colleagues online and offline without reservation. The participants highly praised the conference.

Finally, Chairman Yaowen Sun concluded his speech by expressing his gratitude to the SXIMEA, leaders of the hospital and all the experts for their support in the preparation and establishment of the committee and the work of the committee. Establishing the committee is a new journey. We hope to build an excellent academic platform through the committee to achieve multi-linkage, and in-depth communication, broaden horizons and improve the level. The establishment of the Special Committee on Burn Plastic and Chronic Trauma Treatment has set up a platform for learning, exchange and display for the medical and nursing staff of burn plastic, chronic trauma treatment and medical aesthetics in hospitals at all levels in our province, to promote the linkage of hospitals at provincial, municipal and county levels, and to play a good role in industry standardization, technological innovation and academic leadership in provincial hospitals.
