Recently, the National Children's Medical Center under the Russian Ministry of Health appointed Professor Jiao, Fuyong, Vice President of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association, as an Honorary Professor. This marks the first time the center has awarded this honor to a Chinese individual, recognizing Professor Jiao's special contributions in the field of children's health.

Since 2012, under the leadership of Professor Jiao Fuyong, who is also affiliated with the Children's Hospital of Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital, the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association and the Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital have engaged in exchange and cooperation with the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences National Children's Medical Center. They signed a bilateral five-year cooperation agreement, exploring various avenues for mutual development and progress, and striving to ensure the health and safety of children.

The collaboration involved research on Kawasaki disease and the prevention and management of pediatric Omicron infections, resulting in the publication of a series of academic achievements.

In 2021, the Children's Hospital of the Provincial People's Hospital led the first collaborative research paper on Kawasaki disease between China, Russia, and Germany, titled "First Retrospective Analysis of 448 Pediatric Cases of Kawasaki Disease of Two Cohorts from China and Russia." It was published in the American Journal of Biomedical Science and Research (ISSN: 2642-1747). The research team included eight experts from Russia, one from Germany, and several from the Children's Hospital of Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital and the Children's Hospital affiliated with Zhengzhou University in Henan Province (Wang, Juyan, Zhang, Sheng, He, Changtao, Li, Xiaohong, Jiao, Fuyong, Cheng, Yibing, Feng, Yijnjun etc.).

During the pandemic, the two sides conducted multiple online collaborations, exchanging anti-epidemic experiences. Russian anti-epidemic experiences were published in the Chinese-edited book "RESEARCH ON INTERNATIONAL ANTI-COVID-19 PANDEMIC, SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH PUBLISHING." A paper on Omicron, "The Current Situation and Management of Omicron with Children in Russia: A Review," was published in the International Journal of Tropical Disease & Health (IJTDH).

Professor Jiao, as the corresponding author, co-authored the study "Pediatric perioperative nutritional assessment and support" with the Russian National Children's Medical Center, published in the Asia Pacific Journal of Clinical Nutrition.

The Children's Hospital of the Provincial People's Hospital collaborated with Russia's First Kawasaki Disease Research Center on a paper titled "Long-term observation of a 4-month-old infant with Kawasaki disease complicated by myocardial infarction and giant coronary artery aneurysms," published in "International Progress in Kawasaki Disease."

The Russian pediatric journal featured an article from the Provincial People's Hospital on Mycoplasma pneumoniae, "Analysis of 735 Children with Mycoplasma Pneumoniae in China." The collaboration and exchange between the two sides have deepened, promoting mutual progress in medical diagnosis and treatment levels.

In 2012, directors of pediatric surgery and pediatric nephrology from the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences National Children's Medical Center were invited to Shaanxi for academic exchanges. They attended the founding conference of the Pediatric Cardiac Disease Center at Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital and presented academic papers at the conference.

In 2014, Professor Jiao, Fuyong, Vice President of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association and affiliated with the Children's Hospital of Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital, was appointed as a member of the international editorial board of a Russian pediatric journal. Professor Jiao was invited by Professor Olgalvova from Yekaterinburg University Hospital to participate in the Pan-Slovenian Neurology Conference, where he presented research papers that received international acclaim.

In 2017, Professor Jiao, Fuyong participated in the China-Russia Pediatric Academic Seminar - ADHD/Tourette Syndrome “Medical Trinity Integrated Diagnosis and Treatment” medical achievements press conference.

In 2019, Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital signed a scientific research cooperation agreement with the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, which was reported on the Health Newspaper website. A related cooperation agreement was also signed with Ural Federal University, and Professor OigaKsemoFontova and her delegation from Yekaterinburg University Hospital were invited to Shaanxi for an exchange visit.

In 2022, the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association and Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital signed the "China-Russia Medical Institutions Medical Science and Technology Cooperation Framework Agreement 2022-2025" with relevant Russian parties.
