Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association Emergency and Resuscitation Professional Committee’s First Academic Meeting Successfully Held

On the afternoon of April 20, 2024, the first academic meeting of the Emergency and Resuscitation Professional Committee of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association was successfully held. The event was organized by the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association and hosted by the Affiliated Hospital of Northwest University and Xi'an Third Hospital.

Experts from various medical institutions, including Beijing Hospital (National Center for Geriatrics), the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Xijing Hospital, Tangdu Hospital, First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University, Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University, Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital, and Xi'an Third Hospital, delivered engaging and informative lectures. The presentations provided a comprehensive understanding of the professional characteristics of emergency care and resuscitation, laying a solid foundation for future developments in emergency medicine. Over 200 experts and scholars from various medical institutions across the province participated in the event both online and offline.

During the meeting, several key appointments were announced:

- Liu, Yadong, Director of the Emergency Department at the Affiliated Hospital of Northwest University and Xi'an Third Hospital, was appointed as the Chairman of the Committee.

- Du, Junkai, Director of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University; Pei, Honghong, Director of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University; and Liu, Danping, Director of Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital, were appointed as Honorary Chairmen.

- Wang, Boliang, Professor at Tangdu Hospital; Yin, Wen, Professor at Xijing Hospital; and Ji, Xincai, Professor at Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital, were appointed as Advisors.

Chairman Liu, Yadong outlined the committee's future work priorities, while Taomei, Secretary of the Party Committee of Xi'an Third Hospital, and Chen, Zhao, President of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association, delivered speeches and provided specific guidance. They expressed their expectations for the committee to further demonstrate provincial expertise and contribute to the high-quality development of medical and health services in the province.
