From September 25 to 27, 2024, the inaugural Russian International Pediatrics Conference was grandly held in Moscow, Russia's capital. Professor Jiao, Fuyong, Honorary President of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association, was invited to attend and deliver an address at the opening ceremony.

The conference was co-hosted by the Russian Federation Ministry of Health, the National Medical Research Center for Children’s Health, and several international medical organizations, with support from authoritative bodies such as the Russian Association for Children's Health, the Russian Pediatric Rheumatology Association, and the Russian Pediatric Dermatology Association. The event brought together over 300 medical experts and pediatric healthcare professionals from China, Russia, Uzbekistan, Belarus, and other countries. A total of 265 healthcare professionals and experts presented reports in plenary and breakout sessions on clinical pediatric treatment and research. The goal was to share and exchange the latest scientific research results and clinical experiences in pediatrics, contributing to the advancement of global child health.

The conference focused on summarizing and showcasing the latest progress in child health protection, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment, with particular attention to innovations in social and psychological childhood diseases, pediatric surgical techniques, child nutrition, metabolic diseases, rare diseases, and genetic disorders. Special emphasis was placed on enhancing the knowledge and skills of healthcare professionals to improve the quality of pediatric care and promote child health.

The success of this conference provided a rich platform for academic exchange and injected new energy into the development of global child health. Experts from various countries committed to continuing collaboration, advancing research in pediatric medicine, and working together to contribute to children's health and well-being. Through this international cooperation and knowledge sharing, the medical community aims to better address the challenges facing child health and create a brighter future for every child.

During the event, Professor Jiao, Fuyong, on behalf of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association, signed a bilateral cooperation agreement with the National Pediatrics Center of the Russian Ministry of Health. In the future, the two sides will work together under the principles of complementary strengths, mutual benefit, and friendly cooperation. They will collaborate in medical education, talent cultivation, professional development, faculty and student exchanges, and research projects, aiming to make substantial contributions to the development of Sino-Russian medical science, cultural exchange, and people-to-people understanding.
