On October 24, 2024, the "Celebration of the 79th Anniversary of the United Nations and the United Nations Forum of the International Patriotic Convention Organization," part of the United Nations 2024 International Day of Peace series, was successfully held in Beijing. Organized by the Shaanxi Provincial Patriotic Volunteers Association of the International Patriotic Convention Organization, the event aimed to explore new pathways for international patriotic ideals in advancing sustainable development and global governance through international exchange. Founders, experts, scholars, and social activists from around the world gathered to contribute their insights and strength to global peace and development.

Professor Jiao, Fuyong, Honorary President of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association, was invited to attend the forum and delivered a keynote speech titled “Building a Community of Shared Peace and Health with Friendship as the Bridge and Heartfelt Connections.”

In his speech, Professor Jiao first expressed his sincere gratitude to the event organizers and highly praised the forum's role in promoting international exchange and cooperation and advancing global peace and development. He emphasized the importance of closer unity among countries in the face of increasingly challenging global issues.

Professor Jiao shared the valuable experiences of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association in international cooperation. He mentioned that the association, in collaboration with relevant departments, has established several international medical cooperation organizations, such as the “Shaanxi Provincial Office of the SCO Hospital Cooperation Alliance” and the “Shaanxi International Medical Technology Transfer Center,” which have played essential roles in advancing international medical collaboration and enhancing medical technology standards.

He further stressed the significance of international collaboration in the medical field. In recent years, the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association has signed medical technology cooperation agreements with nearly 30 countries and conducted productive academic exchanges and research collaborations with numerous foreign experts. During the COVID-19 pandemic, despite challenges, the association actively organized scientific exchange events, sharing anti-pandemic experiences with countries along the Silk Road and contributing Chinese wisdom and strength to the global fight against COVID-19.

Regarding future collaboration, Professor Jiao stated that the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association will continue to deepen cooperation with international medical institutions, research organizations, and universities to promote exchanges and collaborations in medical technology, research projects, and healthcare personnel training. He also proposed three cooperative initiatives: first, deepening international partnerships with healthcare institutions along the Belt and Road; second, strengthening people-to-people exchanges through mutual visits, medical training sessions, and seminars to enhance medical research collaboration and talent development; and third, innovating cooperation methods and broadening channels for exchange and collaboration.

Professor Jiao's speech received warm applause from the audience. Participants noted that his address not only highlighted the achievements and experiences of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association in international cooperation but also provided direction for future collaborations and development.

Following the speech, Cui, Guowei, Chairman of the International Patriotic Convention Organization, awarded Professor Jiao an honorary certificate as a “Founder of the International Patriotic Convention Organization.” Professor Jiao engaged in in-depth discussions with other attendees, who expressed strong support for his initiatives to enhance international collaboration for global peace and development.

The successful conclusion of this United Nations 2024 International Day of Peace series event has provided a platform for knowledge exchange among experts and scholars worldwide and offered valuable insights for exploring new pathways for patriotic ideals in sustainable development and global governance.
