Academic Annual Conference of the Chest Pain Special Committee of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association Successfully Held

The Academic Annual Conference of the Chest Pain Special Committee of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association was successfully held on December 27-28, 2024, at the North District of the Xi'an Red Cross Hospital. The hospital director of Xi'an Red Cross Hospital, Ziqiang Yan, attended and addressed the meeting, which was chaired by Gong Cheng, Chair of the Chest Pain Special Committee of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association and Director of the Cardiovascular Disease Diagnosis and Treatment Center at Xi'an Red Cross Hospital.

The conference saw the participation of 107 experts in the field of cardiology from Shaanxi Province, along with over 200 committee members and related personnel. The academic meeting invited experts from the First and Second Affiliated Hospitals of the Air Force Medical University, the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiao Tong University, Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital, Henan Provincial Chest Hospital, Xi'an International Medical Center Hospital, Xi'an Red Cross Hospital, Xi'an First Hospital, Xianyang Central Hospital, Zhouzhi County People's Hospital, and Heyang County People's Hospital, to conduct lectures. Topics covered included the application of surgical techniques for special coronary cases, diagnosis and treatment of arrhythmias and heart failure associated with hypertension, and other important issues aimed at enhancing the clinical diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities of physicians, providing valuable surgical experience and technical guidance to doctors at grassroots hospitals.

Director Gong Cheng expressed that, following the guidelines of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association, he will actively organize committee members to continue leading in academics, scientific research cooperation, public health education, grassroots teaching, and rural revitalization efforts. These initiatives aim to inject robust momentum into the comprehensive enhancement of public health and wellness, leading the treatment of cardiovascular diseases in Shaanxi Province towards a more standardized and formal new journey.
