Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association’s Emergency and Resuscitation Committee Brings Hope to Life with CPR Training

To enhance public awareness of emergency care and the ability to respond to unexpected situations, the Emergency and Resuscitation Committee of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association conducted a cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training session on March 6 at the City Library Metro Station.

At the start of the training, doctors introduced the critical importance of CPR in emergency situations. When cardiac arrest occurs, every second of delay can significantly affect a patient’s chances of survival. Performing effective CPR within the "golden four minutes" may mean the difference between life and death.

Doctors then gave a detailed explanation of the CPR procedure—how to assess whether a patient needs CPR, where to apply chest compressions, how much force and at what frequency, and how to properly administer rescue breaths. Demonstrations were conducted with training mannequins for hands-on instruction.

During the interactive practice segment, citizens eagerly volunteered to try CPR under the careful guidance of medical professionals. Doctors emphasized that rescuers should ensure their own safety first and must maintain high-quality CPR until professional emergency responders arrive.

This CPR training session concluded successfully in a warm and enthusiastic atmosphere. With the continued efforts of the Emergency and Resuscitation Committee and more events like this, more citizens will gain vital first-aid skills—laying the foundation for a safer and healthier society.
