Inaugural Meeting of the Minimally Invasive Urology Committee of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association and Academic Conference Successfully Held

Hosted by the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association and organized by the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University, the Inaugural Meeting of the Minimally Invasive Urology Committee of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association and Academic Conference on Minimally Invasive Urology was successfully held on March 8, 2025, in Xi’an.

Leaders from the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association and the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University, along with over 200 experts and scholars from more than 60 medical institutions across the country—including West China Hospital of Sichuan University, the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, Shanxi Provincial People's Hospital, the First Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University, Tongji Hospital of Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xijing Hospital and Tangdu Hospital of the Air Force Medical University—attended the event.

During the inaugural ceremony, certificates were awarded to the honorary chairperson, chairperson, vice chairpersons, secretary-general, and deputy secretary-generals of the Minimally Invasive Urology Committee. Newly elected Chairperson Professor Xue Li delivered a speech, expressing his commitment to living up to expectations, carrying forward the excellent traditions and selfless spirit of predecessors in the field of urology, and mobilizing young talent to contribute their innovation and energy to the development of the discipline and the advancement of minimally invasive urology in Shaanxi.

In the academic session, 20 experts presented the latest research in both the specialized field of minimally invasive urology and interdisciplinary areas. Topics were diverse and academically rich, covering subfields such as urologic tumors, urolithiasis, robotic-assisted systems, and the integration of artificial intelligence. This valuable opportunity not only sparked new diagnostic ideas but also brought forward fresh perspectives. Over 40 senior experts in minimally invasive urology from within Shaanxi chaired the academic sessions, creating a harmonious gathering of senior, mid-career, and young professionals all contributing to the vision of collaborative development in the field.

The successful convening of this meeting provided a vibrant and distinctive academic exchange platform for urology professionals and laid a solid foundation for future innovation and development in minimally invasive urology. With continued support and guidance from the Association, hospitals, and the collective efforts of all experts and colleagues, the future of minimally invasive urology in Shaanxi promises to be even brighter.
