Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association Successfully Holds Eye Health Academic Conference

On May 25, 2025, the Eye Health Academic Conference, hosted by the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association and organized by Tangdu Hospital of the Air Force Medical University, was successfully held in Xi’an. The conference aimed to foster academic exchange and collaboration in the field of visual health, drive innovation in ophthalmology, and enhance the quality of eye care in Northwest China.

The conference featured in-depth discussions across four key themes:

  • Ocular Tumors: Focused on targeted therapies for thyroid eye disease and analysis      of standardized treatment pathways.

  • Retinal Diseases: Covered mechanisms of diabetic retinopathy, differential diagnosis      of age-related macular degeneration, and applications of multimodal      imaging technologies.

  • Talent Development: Addressed the need for standardized surgical training systems for      young physicians and a tiered model for cultivating research talent.

  • Technological Innovation: Highlighted clinical applications of      anti-VEGF biosimilars, advances in vitreoretinal microsurgery, and      breakthroughs in anti-Ang-2 therapies for macular edema.

The conference emphasized a comprehensive approach by combining multidisciplinary case analyses, real-case discussions, and demonstrations of innovative techniques.
