The Ophthalmology Committee of Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association Successfully Held a Series of Popular Science Activities on “Eye Care Day · Eye Health”

During the 30th National “Eye Care Day,” a themed science popularization event titled “Focus on Universal Eye Health” was successfully held, hosted by the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association and co-organized by the Ophthalmology Committee of the Association and the Fundus Surgery Center of Xi’an People’s Hospital (Xi’an Fourth Hospital). The event adopted a diverse format of “knowledge lectures + nursing science popularization + targeted Q&A + patient sharing + on-site free clinic,” offering a valuable “eye health gift” to more than one hundred citizens.

The medical team from the Fundus Surgery Center of Xi’an People’s Hospital — including Sun, Wentao, Gong, Ke, Deng, Jin, Tian, Ying, Sun, Dan, and others — delivered a comprehensive and accessible feast of ophthalmology knowledge to the public, answered various questions related to fundus health, and provided eye health screening and free clinic services. The medical staff patiently and meticulously examined citizens’ fundus, addressed their concerns, and brought professional medical services to the community.

The entire event was rich in content, highly interactive, and integrated knowledge, practicality, and service. It featured authoritative and professional medical knowledge explanations, practical nursing guidance and skills closely related to daily life, deeply touching patient experience sharing, and on-site free clinic services that directly benefited the public, effectively enhancing public awareness of fundus diseases and eye care.
