The Preliminary Competition of Emergency and First Aid Skills of Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association Successfully Held in Xi’an

On July 23, 2025, the “Preliminary Competition of Emergency and First Aid Skills,” jointly hosted by the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association, the Weiyang District Health Bureau of Xi’an, and Xi’an Third Hospital, and organized by the Committee of Emergency and Resuscitation of the Association and other units, brought together nearly 200 contestants from 33 medical institutions. Through practical competition, the event injected new momentum into improving the quality and efficiency of regional emergency care.

This competition closely focused on practical needs, setting two major sections: theoretical assessment and practical drills. The theoretical test emphasized the systematic and precise mastery of emergency knowledge, while the practical drills simulated real emergency scenarios, comprehensively testing contestants’ emergency response and teamwork abilities from condition assessment and team division to operational standards. In the simulated “race against time,” the contestants remained calm, handling everything from cardiopulmonary resuscitation to trauma management with precision and efficiency, demonstrating solid professional competence.

The preliminary competition not only provided a platform for participating institutions to exchange and learn from each other but also promoted the unification and standardization of regional emergency standards. In the future, the winning teams will advance to higher-level competitions, continuing to use competition as a link to promote the medical quality of emergency and resuscitation to a higher level and to build a solid barrier for safeguarding people’s lives and health.
