Seminar on New Technologies for Diabetic Foot and Lower Limb Ischemic Arterial Diseases Successfully Held

On August 16, 2025, the Seminar on New Technologies for Diabetic Foot and Lower Limb Ischemic Arterial Diseases was successfully held in Xi’an. The event was hosted by the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association and organized by the Association’s Committee on Vascular and Endovascular Surgery together with Shaanxi Provincial People’s Hospital.

The conference brought together top experts from more than 20 medical institutions inside and outside the province, focusing on the current status of diabetic foot development and sharing cutting-edge treatment experiences for lower limb ischemic arterial diseases. It provided a high-quality platform for academic exchange and experience sharing among healthcare professionals in this field.

The academic sessions were rich in content and highlights. Fifteen experts and scholars from Shaanxi Provincial People’s Hospital, Xijing Hospital of Air Force Medical University, Xi’an People’s Hospital, Xi’an Ninth Hospital, and other provincial institutions delivered in-depth presentations on the current situation and future outlook of treating diabetic foot and lower limb ischemic arterial diseases. Topics included the practice and optimization of the multidisciplinary team (MDT) treatment model, advances in the application of targeted debulking combined with drug-coated devices, and innovative techniques in wound repair. After each session, authoritative experts in the field provided detailed commentary and guided active questioning and discussion from participants. The lively interactions and multiple rounds of intellectual exchange offered new insights for clinical practice.
