Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association Participates in the

Capacity-Building Training Program on “Going Global” for Social Organizations in the Health Sector Organized by CAPIE

To strengthen policy guidance for social organizations in advancing their “going global” initiatives and to enhance their awareness and professional capacity for international engagement, the Health Sector Professional Committee of the China Association for the Promotion of International Exchanges of Non-Governmental Organizations (CAPIE), in collaboration with the Chinese Medical Association, jointly held the Capacity-Building Training Program on “Going Global” for Social Organizations in the Health Sector, together with the Foreign Affairs Training Program of the Chinese Medical Association, from December 14 to 17 in Putian, Fujian Province. Relevant staff members from the International Department of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association were invited to participate in the training.

The training program featured thematic lectures focusing on key topics including promoting high-quality development of people-to-people diplomacy, strengthening the study and application of international law, building a global community of health for all, development trends and countermeasures for international scientific and technological organizations, high-quality development of the Health Silk Road, and the global health governance landscape and its actors.

During the same period, a CAPIE Health Sector Thematic Working Meeting was convened. At the meeting, the CAPIE Secretariat outlined key priorities for 2026. Zhang, Dan, Deputy Director of the International Department of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association, delivered a report on the completion of the Association’s work in 2025 and its work plan for 2026.

Through this training, the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association further strengthened its sense of urgency, mission, and responsibility in accelerating its “going global” efforts, and reinforced its confidence and determination to advance people-to-people diplomacy. Moving forward, the Association will take this training as an opportunity to translate learning outcomes into concrete actions. Under the guidance of CAPIE, it will keep in mind the broader national interests, uphold fundamental principles while pursuing innovation, continuously enhance its cohesion, alignment, and capacity for action, and contribute wisdom and strength to promoting the Association’s “going global” development, serving people-to-people diplomacy with high quality, and advancing the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
