2026 Annual Academic Conference of the SIMEPA Committee on Precision Treatment of Liver Tumors Successfully Held

On April 25, 2026, the 2026 Annual Academic Conference of the Committee on Precision Treatment of Liver Tumors of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association (SIMEPA) was successfully held. The conference was organized by SIMEPA and hosted by Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital. The meeting was chaired by Professor Zhang Yu, Chair of the Committee on Precision Treatment of Liver Tumors of SIMEPA and Director of the Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery at Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital. More than 500 experts, scholars, and healthcare professionals in the field attended the conference to explore the latest advances in liver tumor management, exchange clinical experience, and discuss future directions for the specialty.

The scientific program featured a series of academic sessions covering key topics in hepatobiliary surgery and liver oncology. Presentations focused on standardized laparoscopic hepatectomy, innovative surgical techniques for hilar cholangiocarcinoma, multidisciplinary treatment strategies for advanced malignancies, recent advances in targeted therapy for hepatocellular carcinoma, and precision imaging for hepatobiliary tumors. Through expert lectures and representative clinical cases, speakers shared technical insights, addressed challenging clinical issues, and introduced the latest concepts in diagnosis and treatment.

A dedicated nursing forum was also held, featuring presentations on refined healthcare management, literature retrieval and nursing research methodology, comprehensive nursing care for pancreatic and biliary diseases throughout the continuum of care, and humanistic nursing services for patients with hepatobiliary diseases. The program provided participants with practical knowledge and promoted the continuous improvement of specialized nursing practice.

The conference established a high-level, comprehensive platform for academic exchange and collaboration in hepatobiliary medicine across Shaanxi Province, facilitating the sharing of high-quality medical resources within and beyond the region.
