Sixth Annual Academic Conference of the SIMEPA Transfusion Medicine Committee Successfully Held

On May 16, 2026, the Sixth Annual Academic Conference of the Transfusion Medicine Committee of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association (SIMEPA) was successfully held at Xi'an International Medical Center Hospital. The conference was jointly organized by SIMEPA and Xi'an International Medical Center Hospital, bringing together more than 150 experts and scholars in transfusion medicine from medical institutions and blood centers across Shaanxi Province to discuss current热点 issues and the latest advances in the field. The meeting was chaired by Professor Bai Yanli, Chair of the Transfusion Medicine Committee of SIMEPA, who presented the Committee's annual work report and reviewed its achievements over the past year.

The presentations focused on important topics in transfusion medicine, including strategies for autoantibody identification, investigation of complex blood group cases, quality control of platelet-rich plasma (PRP), standardized clinical workflows for PRP applications, the role of transfusion medicine departments in multidisciplinary team (MDT) consultations, and patient blood management (PBM). Through expert presentations and in-depth discussions, participants shared valuable clinical experience and practical approaches to addressing challenges in transfusion medicine.
