Academic Conference on Scientific Innovation and Green Development in Nephrology and Blood Purification Successfully Held

On May 23, 2026, the Academic Conference on Scientific Innovation and Green Development in Nephrology and Blood Purification was successfully held in Xi'an. The conference was organized by the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association (SIMEPA) and jointly hosted by The Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University, the Nephrology and Blood Purification Committee of SIMEPA, and the Shaanxi International Technology Transfer and Innovation Cooperation Center. The meeting was chaired by Professor Fu Rongguo, Vice President of the Nephrology Hospital and Director of the Department of Nephrology at The Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University, as well as Chair of the Nephrology and Blood Purification Committee of SIMEPA.

Focusing on current clinical challenges and emerging scientific advances, the conference centered on key topics including glomerular diseases, innovative blood purification technologies, recent advances in clinical diagnosis and treatment, and frontiers in basic research. Through multidimensional and in-depth discussions, participants explored the latest developments across the field. Two dedicated parallel sessions—Medical Innovation and Development and Vascular Access—further expanded the academic program, covering the full spectrum from basic research to clinical practice, from technological innovation to healthcare management, with additional discussions on chronic disease management and the translation of scientific innovation into clinical application.

The successful conference provided a high-level platform for academic exchange among specialists in nephrology and blood purification from China and abroad. By promoting the integration of cutting-edge technologies, innovative concepts, and clinical practice, the meeting further advanced the development of nephrology and blood purification medicine. It also contributed to the high-quality and sustainable development of nephrology care and blood purification technologies at both the regional and national levels, strengthening the scientific foundation and technical support for improving patient care.
