Relying on the "Shaanxi Provincial Working Department of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Hospital Cooperation Alliance," the "Shaanxi International Medical Technology Transfer Center of the Shaanxi Science and Technology Department," and the "Overseas Intellectual Service Action Plan Work Base of the Shaanxi Association for Science and Technology," the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association will further strengthen its own capacity building. It will fully leverage the advantages of industry associations, unite and guide its vast membership, pragmatically cooperate, innovate development, and always prioritize the people and life. It will construct a collaborative platform for international and domestic medical and pharmaceutical exchange based on the principles of "exchange, openness, joint construction, and sharing." It aims to become a "warm and responsible" premier association in the western region, providing high-quality and high-level services to the industry, government, and society, making due contributions to the high-quality development of Shaanxi's health industry.

1.     On January 11, 2023, the "Asia-Europe International Medical Innovation and Management Summit Forum," hosted by Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association and co-organized by the Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital and the Shaanxi Provincial Clinical Medicine Demonstration International Science and Technology Cooperation Base, was successfully held online. Renowned experts and professors from Serbia, the Czech Republic, and India shared advanced international concepts and knowledge in areas such as pediatric urinary tract infections, central nervous system infections, cardiac infections in children, and traditional Indian medicine.

2.     On April 6, 2023, the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association and the Australia-China Traditional Chinese Medicine Charity Foundation held a signing ceremony for their cooperation agreement in Xi'an, officially signing a three-year strategic cooperation agreement in medical science and technology. Both parties will collaborate closely to promote the development of medical science in Shaanxi and improve the health of the people by telling stories that highlight the benefits of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and increasing public awareness and understanding of TCM. This cooperation aims to contribute to the overall health of the population. Representatives from the International Cooperation Department of the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the National Chang'an Mi Internal Medicine School, the Shaanxi Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Provincial Science and Technology Exchange Center, and 28 provincial media journalists attended the signing ceremony.

3.     On April 11, 2023, a delegation of five representatives from Canada, specializing in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), visited Shaanxi Province at the invitation of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association. During their visit, they exchanged insights with Shaanxi University of Chinese Medicine, Shaanxi Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Xi'an Chinese Medicine Brain Disease Hospital. The Canadian experts delivered a presentation titled "Challenges of Overseas TCM Development to Western Medicine," and both parties expressed intentions to collaborate on initiatives such as exchanging visiting scholars and students. This visit marks the beginning of a fruitful cooperation between the TCM communities of Shaanxi and Canada, aiming to facilitate the overseas dissemination of TCM and contribute to human health. Representatives from the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Science and Technology, Provincial Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shaanxi University of Chinese Medicine, Shaanxi Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shaanxi Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the National Chang'an Mi Internal Medicine School, and Xi'an Chinese Medicine Brain Disease Hospital attended the event.

4.     From May 25th to 28th, 2023, as part of the organizing committee for the "2023 China Sun Simiao Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture Festival" hosted by the Tongchuan Municipal People's Government, efforts were made to invite experts from Turkmenistan and India to participate in the "China Sun Simiao Traditional Chinese Medicine International Forum." During the forum, a keynote speech titled "Prospects for the Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Turkmenistan" was delivered. Additionally, while visiting Shaanxi Province, they also toured facilities such as The First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University, Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital, International Medical Center, and Xi'an Chinese Medicine Brain Disease Hospital.

5.     On May 27, 2023, Professor Jiao, Fuyong, Vice President of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association and Head of the International Exchange and Cooperation Center of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Hospital Cooperation Alliance, was invited by M.D.Prof.Academician-G.chakhunashvili, President of the Georgian Pediatric Society and President of the Georgian Pediatric Cardiology Society at the European Science Summit, to participate in the Traditional Annual Conference and International Children's Day Celebration held online in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia.

6.     From June 8th to 13th, 2023, Professor Song, Hujie, Vice President of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association and Director of the Xi'an Traditional Chinese Medicine Brain Disease Hospital, along with Vice President Jiao, Fuyong of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association and Wang, Hui, Director of the International Department of the Xi'an Traditional Chinese Medicine Brain Disease Hospital, visited Russia for exchange and communication. They introduced the unique advantages of traditional Chinese medicine in diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and preventive healthcare to local authorities and medical institutions, and discussed cooperation on initiatives such as building an international medical consortium and conducting international training.

7.     On the afternoon of June 14th, 2023, at the invitation of the Canadian Consortium of Traditional Chinese Medicine Schools, Wang, Ning, Vice President and Secretary-General of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association, visited the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Guelph in Canada. Both parties expressed their intention to advance in-depth cooperation in the fields of rehabilitation, nursing, academic exchange in traditional Chinese medicine, international training, international diagnosis and treatment, and research projects.

8.     To further promote the internationalization of traditional Chinese medicine culture, on June 18th, 2023, the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association and the Canadian branch of Shaanxi 38 Women's Technology Group held a plaque unveiling ceremony for the "Overseas (Canada) Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture International Communication Base".

9.     From August 22nd to 25th, 2023, a medical expert delegation from Laos was invited by the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association to visit Shaanxi for the exchange of traditional Chinese medicine culture. They visited various medical institutions including the Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital, Xi'an Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Xi'an TCM Brain Disease Hospital, Baqiao District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Baqiao District Fangzhi City Community Health Service Center, Baqiao District Shilipu Orthopedic Hospital, Baqiao Xueshi Orthopedic Hospital, Shaanxi Panlong Pharmaceutical Group Company, and the First Hospital of Yulin City. During the visit, the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association signed a medical technology cooperation agreement with the Health Professional Committee of the Ministry of Health of Laos. Additionally, international consultant appointments were awarded to three foreign experts who participated in the exchange in Shaanxi.

10.  On September 1st, 2023, Professor Xie, Wenru, Deputy Director of the Pathology Department of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the United States, visited and exchanged ideas at the Xi'an Regional Medical Laboratory, the affiliate of the Vice President Unit of Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association.

11.  On September 19, 2023, the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association hosted the "Inaugural Meeting of the Sports Medicine Professional Committee of Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association and the Symposium on Sports Medicine and Biomechanics," jointly organized by the Shaanxi Provincial Center for Sports and Rehabilitation Clinical Research and the Sports Medicine Diagnosis and Treatment Center of Xi'an Honghui Hospital. The event was successfully held in Xi'an through a combination of offline and online formats. Professor Edmund Y.S. Chao, a member of the National Academy of Engineering in the United States and a lifelong professor at the Mayo Clinic and Johns Hopkins University, delivered an exciting lecture titled "Wandering in the Field of Biomechanics: A Reflection on the Odyssey of Ancient Greek King Odysseus."

12.  On September 23, 2023, the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association inaugurated the "Shaanxi Provincial Working Department of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Hospital Cooperation Alliance" and hosted the joint establishment of the "Belt and Road Tajikistan-China Friendly Hospital Specialty Cooperation and Assistance Communication Conference." During the meeting, in-depth discussions and exchanges took place regarding the planning of specialty cooperation and assistance for friendly hospitals between Tajikistan and China. Specific suggestions and recommendations were put forward based on the discussions.

13.  On September 24, 2023, the 6th Western International Forum on Medical Quality and Patient Safety Management, sponsored by the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association and co-organized by the Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital, the Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Exchange Center, and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Hospital Cooperation Alliance, was held at the Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital. Experts from China, Czech Republic, Russia, Georgia, Mongolia, Egypt, Nepal, India, and other countries participated both online and offline, delivering lectures. During the event, international advisors were appointed to visiting experts from various countries. Professor Gusev Aleksey from Russia presented Vice President Jiao Fuyong with an honorary professor certificate from the National Children's Health Medical Research Center of the Russian Federation.

14.   From October 9th to 11th, 2023, at the invitation of the Ministry of Health and Cardiovascular Center of Turkmenistan, a delegation consisting of Chen, Zhao, President of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association, Professor Jiao, Fuyong (Academician of the European Academy of Sciences), Hou, Xi, Minister of Academic Affairs, Professor Zhan, Shuqin, Associate Chief Physician of Neurology at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University, Professor Li, Xiaofeng, Director of the Endocrinology Department at Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital, and Professor Zhuo, Ying, Director of Acupuncture and Moxibustion Department at Xi'an International Medical Center Hospital, totaling six individuals, visited Turkmenistan for academic exchanges. During the visit, the delegation visited the International Neurology Center and the National Medical University in Turkmenistan, conducting consultations with Turkmen doctors for six patients. Additionally, they participated in the "Health 2023" International Exhibition and the International Conference in Ashgabat, where they delivered keynote speeches.

15.  From October 12th to 14th, 2023, at the invitation of the National Emergency Medicine Center of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan, a delegation consisting of Chen, Zhao, President of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association, Professor Jiao, Fuyong (Academician of the European Academy of Sciences), Hou, Xi, Minister of Academic Affairs, Professor Zhan, Shuqin, Associate Chief Physician of Neurology at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University, Professor Li, Xiaofeng, Director of the Endocrinology Department at Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital, and Professor Zhuo, Ying, Director of Acupuncture and Moxibustion Department at Xi'an International Medical Center Hospital, totaling six individuals, visited Uzbekistan to attend the 18th Republic Science and Practice Conference and also visited the local comprehensive children's hospital for exchanges and visits.

16.  From November 24th to 26th, 2023, the 2023 "Belt and Road" International Medical and Health Cooperation Promotion Conference, organized by the Chinese Hospital Association and co-organized by the Guangdong Hospital Association, was successfully held in Guangzhou. The conference was themed "Innovation Leading High-Quality Development, Building a New Model of Medical Cooperation". Representatives from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Good Neighborly and Friendly Cooperation Committee, the Guangdong Hospital Association, the SCO Hospital Cooperation Alliance, the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association, and other relevant organizations attended the conference. Chen, Zhao, President of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association, delivered the keynote speech.

17.  From November 25th to 27th, 2023, the "3rd International Sub-Forum on the Inheritance, Innovation, and Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and the Relationship between Chinese Indigenous Psychology and Mental Health" was held in Xianyang, organized by the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education and co-hosted by Shaanxi University of Chinese Medicine and Simon Fraser University in Canada. The event was also supported by the Second Affiliated Hospital of Shaanxi University of Chinese Medicine and the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association. Nearly 20 experts from China, the United States, Canada, Poland, South Korea, and other countries visited the Shaanxi Traditional Chinese Medicine Museum and the Second Affiliated Hospital of Shaanxi University of Chinese Medicine in Xianyang. Over the course of three days, they engaged in academic exchanges.

18.  On November 27th, 2023, the "3rd International Forum on the Inheritance, Innovation, and Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and the China-Switzerland TCM Center (Geneva) International Cooperation Exchange" was held in Xianyang. The event was organized by the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education, hosted by Shaanxi University of Chinese Medicine, and co-organized by the Affiliated Hospital of Shaanxi University of Chinese Medicine and the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association. Professor Jiao, Fuyong, Vice President of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association, Professor Song, Hujie, and Secretary-General Wang Ning were invited to attend the forum and deliver speeches.

19.  On December 20th, 2023, the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association participated in the "Going Global" Capacity Building Training and Exchange Conference organized by the Shaanxi Provincial Social Organization International Exchange Promotion Association. Wang, Ning, Vice President and Secretary-General of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association, delivered a speech at the event.
