Successful Completion of the 12th Peritoneal Dialysis Progress Workshop by the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association's Blood Purification Committee

From July 27 to 28, 2024, the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association, in collaboration with the Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital Kidney Disease Dialysis Center and the Blood Purification Committee, successfully hosted the 12th Peritoneal Dialysis Progress Workshop in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province.

The workshop featured 41 specialized lectures and 11 case studies, with 84 renowned experts from Xinjiang, Gansu, Qinghai, and Shaanxi engaging in discussions on topics such as the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic kidney diseases and their complications, peritoneal dialysis, hemodialysis, vascular access, renal nutrition management and care, and the role of ultrasound imaging and pathology in kidney disease diagnosis. There was also a dedicated nursing session to address relevant issues.

With 245 participants, the workshop provided valuable learning experiences, promoting new theories and technologies while addressing clinical needs. Attendees praised the event for enhancing their professional skills in nephrology, solving technical challenges in clinical practice, and offering a rich academic experience.
