Xi'an Daxing Hospital’s Young Doctors Shine on the International Stage

 

From May 9-11, 2024, the 16th Biennial Meeting of the Asian Ultrasound Medicine and Biology Association was grandly held in Seoul, Korea. Dr. Wang, Yin from Xi'an Daxing Hospital’s Ultrasound Medicine Department had two English papers accepted and was invited to present at the conference.

On May 9, Dr. Wang, Yin presented on “Intrapartum Ultrasound Use in Clinical Practice as a Predictor of Delivery Mode in Nulliparous Women Compared to Parous Women.” At the conference, Dr. Wang shared the latest achievements and insights from Daxing Hospital’s research on intrapartum ultrasound with an engaging presentation.

On May 11, Dr. Wang, Yin discussed the topic “Does the Coronal Plane Contribute to Diagnostic Performance of the Transverse Plane in Screening Automated Breast Ultrasound?” focusing on 3D breast volume ultrasound, which drew significant attention from senior experts and professors.

This research, completed in collaboration with Professor Song, Hongping’s team from the Ultrasound Medicine Department at the Air Force Military Medical University’s Xijing Hospital, was published in the “Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine” in February of this year.

Dr. Wang, Yin’s fluent English, engaging presentation style, rich professional knowledge, and rigorous research approach were well-received, sparking discussions and praise from attendees. Experts from multiple countries expressed a desire for further exchanges and collaboration to explore new technologies and build bridges for innovation in women's health care.From May 11-12, 2024, Dr. Wang, Bo, Deputy Director of the Spine Surgery Department, was invited to participate in the Asia-Pacific Vertebral Body Stenting (VBS) Technique Exchange Seminar held at Chulalongkorn King Memorial Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand.

Dr. Wang, Bo, competing alongside spine surgeons from Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, and Thailand, completed a high-difficulty surgery in record time (20 minutes) with the highest standards, receiving unanimous praise from international colleagues for his solid skills and technique.

Dr. Wang, Bo expressed that this opportunity to exchange ideas and compete with international peers not only improved his professional skills and level but also broadened his perspective and boosted his confidence.
