Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association Geriatrics MDT Committee Inauguration and First Academic Meeting Successfully Held

On June 22, 2024, the inauguration and first academic meeting of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association Geriatrics MDT Committee was successfully held in Xi'an. The event was organized by the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association and hosted by the First Ward of the Western Branch of Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital.

Professors from Wuhan Tongji Hospital, the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University, the Air Force Military Medical University Xijing Hospital, the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University, and Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital attended the meeting. The experts delivered lectures on the latest achievements in geriatrics prevention and treatment and discussed cutting-edge issues in the field. The conference featured a compact and rich program, aligning with international academic frontiers. Over 100 experts and scholars from related fields across the province attended the event.

Zhao, Yuan, Director of the First Ward of the Western Branch of Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital, was elected as the Chair of the Geriatrics MDT Committee. Eight experts from Xi'an Jiaotong University First Affiliated Hospital, Xi'an Jiaotong University Second Affiliated Hospital, Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital, Xi'an First Hospital, Yan'an University Affiliated Hospital, and Xi'an Hi-tech Hospital were elected as Vice Chairs.

Chair Zhao, Yuan expressed her honor and the heavy responsibility of being the inaugural Chair of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association Geriatrics MDT Committee.
