Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association Attends the 2024 Shanghai Cooperation Organization Hospital Cooperation Alliance Meeting

On June 28, 2024, the “2024 Shanghai Cooperation Organization Hospital Cooperation Alliance Meeting” was held in Urumqi. The event was organized by the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Hospital Cooperation Alliance and the Belt and Road International Medical Cooperation Center, with the People's Hospital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region as the host. The theme of the conference was “High-Quality Development and Practical Advancement of International Medical Cooperation,” aiming to further strengthen communication and connection between Chinese and foreign institutions and to advance the alliance towards institutionalization and standardization.

Chen Zhao, President of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association, represented the alliance's working department and delivered a speech at the conference. The meeting was attended by over 40 representatives from health and medical institutions across provinces and cities including Hubei, Shaanxi, Guangdong, Chongqing, Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Hangzhou, and Xinjiang.

During the conference, domestic hospitals including Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region People's Hospital, Fudan University Huashan Hospital, the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University, and Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine signed 23 specialty cooperation framework agreements with international institutions such as the National Medical Center of Kazakhstan, the Pakistan National Technology University Hospital (Belt and Road Pakistan-China Friendship Hospital), and the Tajikistan International Medical Center (Belt and Road Tajikistan-China Friendship Hospital).
