Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association Participates in Capacity-Building Training for Local Social Organizations’ International Engagement
From March 24 to 27, the Director of the International Department of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association participated in the “XinLianTong” Work Training Program and Capacity-Building Workshop for International Engagement of Local Social Organizations held in Nanchang. The program was hosted by the China NGO Network for International Exchanges (CNIE). The opening ceremony was attended by officials from the International Department of the CPC Central Committee and the Jiangxi Provincial People’s Government, who delivered welcome remarks. Over 250 participants from 33 ministries and commissions and 31 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions—including departments, social organizations, think tanks, universities, media, and enterprises—joined the event.
The training featured thematic lectures delivered by experts from the General Coordination Bureau of the Central Foreign Affairs Office, CNIE, the Office of the Belt and Road Initiative Leading Group, the Department of American and Oceanian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Emergency Management Institute of the Central Party School, the Academy of Macroeconomic Research under the National Development and Reform Commission, China Global Television Network, and other relevant agencies.
This training program, hosted by CNIE, aimed to strengthen guidance on the internationalization efforts of local social organizations and enhance communication among CNIE governing units and group members. It also served to raise awareness of the role social organizations play in supporting national diplomatic efforts and improving international engagement capacity. Participants expressed their commitment to leveraging their unique strengths to carry out impactful and refined “small but beautiful” livelihood projects, tell China’s story well, and share China’s development experience.
Other representatives from Shaanxi attending the training included leaders from the Shaanxi Association for the Promotion of International Exchange of Social Organizations (SAPIE) and its member organizations: the Shaanxi Association for the Promotion of Foreign Cultural Exchange, the Xi’an Youth International Exchange Center, and the Weinan Center for People-to-People and Cultural Exchanges.
Looking ahead, the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association will continue to make full use of the platforms provided by CNIE and SAPIE, actively fulfill its social organization responsibilities, enhance its service awareness and people-to-people diplomacy capacity, and explore innovative models for “small but beautiful” livelihood-focused projects. The Association is committed to contributing to cultural exchange, mutual understanding, and people-to-people connectivity.
