Radiology Experts from the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association Conduct Appropriate Technology Training in Chenggu

On March 28, 2025, the “Grassroots Outreach Program (Chenggu Station)” and “Appropriate Health Technology Promotion Training Conference”, organized by the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association, were successfully held at Chenggu County Hospital in Hanzhong City. The event was co-hosted by the Association’s Radiology Committee, the Affiliated Hospital of Northwest University / Xi’an Third Hospital, and Chenggu County Hospital.

Focusing on key themes such as “Precisely Meeting Local Needs and Advancing Technology to the Grassroots,” “Sharing Cutting-Edge Techniques to Overcome Diagnostic Challenges,” and “Building a Communication Platform to Foster Sustainable Collaboration,” the event brought together more than 20 leading experts in medical imaging from across the province. Topics included standardized evaluation of pulmonary nodules, WHO molecular classification of lung cancer and its radiologic characteristics, and how advanced CT technologies can empower clinical practice in county-level hospitals.

Through themed lectures, technical guidance, and case discussions, the event offered strong support for improving the imaging diagnostic capabilities of grassroots medical institutions and built a bridge of communication between provincial experts and local physicians. During the event, senior radiology specialists from both provincial and municipal levels conducted in-depth consultations in clinical departments, offering hands-on guidance with complex cases and establishing long-term communication mechanisms with local hospitals.

Improving grassroots diagnostic imaging is a long-term endeavor requiring continuous technical support and talent development. The Radiology Committee of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association will take this event as a new starting point to further promote collaboration among medical institutions at the provincial, municipal, and county levels—ensuring that advanced imaging technologies can better serve patients in grassroots communities.
