Guo Ying, Chair of the Pathology Committee of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association and Director of the Pathology Department at Xi’an Daxing Hospital, Attends USCAP Annual Meeting in the United States

On March 26, 2025, Guo Ying, Chair of the Pathology Committee of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association and Director of the Pathology Department at Xi’an Daxing Hospital, attended the USCAP Annual Meeting in Boston, USA. A research paper by Director Guo and Deputy Director Nie Zunzhen from the same department was selected for poster presentation at the 2025 Annual Meeting of the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP)—the largest and most authoritative pathology organization in the world.

The presented research represents the initial phase of Director Guo's National Natural Science Foundation project. From topic selection and experimental design to data collection and analysis, every step was meticulously planned and guided by Director Guo, reflecting the collective effort, dedication, and expertise of the entire research team. The poster received recognition from top international pathology experts at the conference.

On March 28, Director Guo, along with peers from China’s pathology community, visited the Department of Pathology at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). There, they conducted an in-depth study of how MGH, as a world-leading pathology institution, efficiently supports clinical diagnosis and treatment. The visit provided valuable insights into global best practices and interdisciplinary integration, injecting new momentum into the development of Daxing Hospital’s precision pathology platform.

Modern pathology is not only the cornerstone of disease diagnosis but also a critical driver of precision medicine and personalized treatment. This visit marks a significant step in the internationalization strategy of Xi’an Daxing Hospital’s Pathology Department. Moving forward, Daxing Pathology will continue to align with global advancements to deliver more precise and effective medical services for patients.
