Professor Fuyong Jiao, Honorary President of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association, and Member Institutions Invited to Attend Iran’s First International Conference on AI in Medical Applications

Against the backdrop of rapid global advancements in medical science and technology, international medical cooperation is becoming increasingly close. From February 1 to 5, 2025, Professor Fuyong Jiao, Honorary President of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association, along with Vice President units Xi’an TCM Hospital of Encephalopathy and the School of Medicine at Shangluo Vocational and Technical College, Executive Council Member unit Xi’an Lianhu Zhongtong Children's Rehabilitation Hospital, Xi'an Jiaotong University Health Science Center, and Yulin TCM Hospital, were invited to participate in Iran’s First International Conference on AI in Medical Applications.

The conference was opened with speeches from Conference Chair Professor Fuyong Jiao and Iranian Professor Montana Mohammadradeh Lame. The meeting was moderated by Professor Bassan Soleimanpour, Secretary General of the Conference Scientific Committee.

With his profound academic background and extensive clinical experience, Professor Fuyong Jiao shared unique insights at the conference and engaged in in-depth discussions with international medical experts on the application and development of AI in the medical field.

Nearly a dozen medical staff and hospital administrators from Xi’an TCM Hospital of Encephalopathy, Shangluo Vocational and Technical College School of Medicine, Xi’an Lianhu Zhongtong Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital, Xi’an Jiaotong University Health Science Center, and Yulin TCM Hospital participated in the event. Their team’s research papers were selected for inclusion in the conference proceedings of the Iran International Conference on AI in Medical Applications.

The conference focused on cutting-edge applications of artificial intelligence in medicine, covering key topics such as AI-assisted diagnostics, the development of intelligent medical devices, and AI technology in telemedicine. The participation of Professor Fuyong Jiao and the member institutions of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association is expected to yield positive outcomes in several areas:

1. Enhancing      academic exchange – by bringing back      advanced international AI concepts and technologies to invigorate the      development of medical science in Shaanxi;

2. Expanding      international collaboration – by      fostering partnerships with medical and research institutions in Iran and      other countries to jointly pursue research projects and talent      development;

3. Boosting      global influence – by showcasing the      active role and strength of Shaanxi’s medical community in international      cooperation.

Professor Fuyong Jiao emphasized that the Association will continue to uphold a spirit of openness and collaboration, actively organizing member institutions to participate in international medical exchange activities, promoting high-quality development of the healthcare sector in Shaanxi, and contributing to the global vision of a shared future for human health.
