Shaanxi Medical Association Hosts Seminar on National Natural Science Foundation Proposal Writing in Clinical Laboratory Science

 

On March 2, the Seminar on Enhancing National Natural Science Foundation of China Proposal Writing Skills in Clinical Laboratory Science was successfully held in Xi’an. The event was hosted by the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association and co-organized by the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University and the Clinical Laboratory Science Committee of the Association. The seminar was chaired by Professor Wang, Xiaoqin, Director of the Department of Laboratory Medicine at the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University and Chair of the Clinical Laboratory Science Committee.

 

Professor Wu, Yue, Assistant to the President of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University, Director of the Department of Science and Technology, and recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, attended the seminar and delivered opening remarks.

 

The seminar invited well-known experts in the application and review of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and brought together key researchers and young scholars in clinical laboratory science from the central and western regions of China. It aimed to improve the participants’ ability to write high-quality proposals for the National Natural Science Foundation of China and to promote innovation in the field of clinical laboratory science.

 

Participants stated that the insightful presentations and experience sharing by the experts deepened their understanding of the application process, techniques, and key considerations involved in applying for the National Natural Science Foundation of China. They gained a clearer picture of how to prepare high-quality research proposals. Furthermore, the experts’ emphasis on research attitudes and capacity building, focusing on clinical needs, and strengthening interdisciplinary innovation provided new ideas and directions for their future research work. Many expressed the hope that more academic forums like this would be held in the future to provide additional opportunities for exchange and learning.

 

The successful hosting of this seminar not only enhanced the proposal writing capabilities of researchers in the field of clinical laboratory science but also contributed positively to the production of high-level research achievements and the innovative development of the discipline.
