Member Institution Update | Healthcare Professionals from Six Medical Institutions across Three Provinces Gather at Weinan Haicheng Dermatology Hospital to Study Dermatological Treatment Techniques

In March 2025, Weinan Haicheng Dermatology Hospital, a vice-presidential member unit of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association, was entrusted by six medical institutions from three provinces—Jianling Hospital of Muyang, Sihong Fenjinting Hospital (Jiangsu Province); Guiyang Lindong Hospital, Gui’an Anshun Hospital, Qianxi Lindong Hospital (Guizhou Province); and Jincheng Kangning Orthopedic Hospital (Shanxi Province)—to launch a month-long “Dermatological Treatment Techniques Training Program” aimed at standardizing and enhancing dermatological diagnostic and treatment capabilities.

As a key municipal clinical specialty in Weinan, one of the first model private hospitals in Western China, a vice-chair unit of the Dermatology Committee of the China Association of Ethnic Medicine, and the deputy chair unit of the Dermatology and Cosmetic Dermatology Committee of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association, Weinan Haicheng Dermatology Hospital holds a prominent position in the field of dermatology. It also chairs the Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine Dermatology Committee of the Weinan Medical Association.

On March 1, 2025, seven healthcare professionals from the six institutions arrived at the hospital to participate in the specialized training. The program aimed to enhance the participants' clinical skills through a well-rounded curriculum, ultimately promoting advancements in dermatological treatment and benefiting more patients. The training included theoretical learning, clinical practice, and case analysis. During the theoretical phase, the hospital delivered 23 comprehensive lectures covering the pathogenesis, diagnostic criteria, and latest treatment approaches for common dermatological conditions, laying a solid academic foundation for the trainees.

In the clinical practice phase, the participants were fully immersed in both traditional Chinese and Western dermatology departments, where, under close supervision, they took part in hands-on treatment procedures and learned advanced techniques and methodologies.

This successful cross-regional learning initiative provided valuable professional development opportunities and fostered deeper collaboration in dermatological care. Such interregional exchange programs help integrate high-quality medical resources, narrow regional disparities in dermatology treatment, and drive the sector’s healthy development. The collaboration between the six institutions and Weinan Haicheng Dermatology Hospital stands as a model for regional medical cooperation and promises to deliver improved treatment experiences for patients.
