China-Israel Medical Exchange Further Deepens: Professor Manuel Katz Visits Shaanxi to Explore Healthcare Development

From April 11 to 21, 2025, a grand cross-border medical exchange event was held at Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital. At the invitation of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association, Professor Manuel Katz—President of the International Pediatric Consensus Association, former President of the Israeli Pediatric Association, and renowned expert in health management—visited the hospital and carried out a series of impactful international medical exchange activities.

During his visit to Shaanxi, Professor Katz toured the hospital’s clinical departments, held in-depth discussions with medical staff through case studies and clinical consultations, and generously shared insights from his over 50 years of medical experience—every word reflecting the distilled wisdom of decades in the field. He also delivered several compelling academic lectures, including Medical Risk Management (MRM) and Patient Safety (PS): The Role of Preventive Medicine, The Israeli Healthcare System, and Early Childhood Development. Over 200 pediatric professionals and medical residents gathered for these knowledge-packed sessions, creating a strong academic atmosphere on site.

This exchange has injected new momentum into the hospital's pediatric care development and offered valuable new perspectives for advancing the internationalization of pediatric medicine. It also stands as a key initiative by the Association and the Provincial People's Hospital to actively promote international medical cooperation and introduce high-level intellectual resources. Looking ahead, both sides hope to deepen global collaboration and innovation in medicine, unite healthcare forces from around the world, and work together toward building a global community of health for all—safeguarding human health through shared efforts.
