On April 18–19, 2025, the Ophthalmology Committee Election Meeting and the Academic Symposium on New Frontiers in Ophthalmology, hosted by the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association and organized by Xi’an People's Hospital (Xi’an No. 4 Hospital), were successfully held in Xi’an. The conference gathered leading ophthalmology experts and scholars from across China to discuss the latest research findings and clinical progress in the field, driving innovation in ophthalmic medicine. Representatives from the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association and Xi’an People’s Hospital (Xi’an No. 4 Hospital) attended and delivered remarks.

During the election session, certificates were awarded by the Association to the Honorary Chairperson, Chairperson, Vice Chairpersons, Secretary General, and Deputy Secretary Generals of the Ophthalmology Committee.

In the academic exchange segment, renowned ophthalmologists from top-tier medical institutions across China delivered thematic presentations and shared academic insights. Discussions focused on novel diagnostic and therapeutic techniques for ophthalmic diseases, clinical experiences, and scientific innovations. The event also featured surgical video demonstrations and a hands-on vitrectomy Wetlab training session. Dr. Aliev Adilet, a medical student from Kyrgyzstan, along with domestic ophthalmologists, participated in practical surgical training. The symposium provided a dynamic and distinctive academic platform for professional exchange, offering valuable learning opportunities and fostering in-depth discussions that were highly rewarding for all participants.
