Grassroots Outreach Event (Hanzhong Stop) of the Pediatric Endocrinology, Genetics, and Metabolism Committee of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association Successfully Held

On April 26, 2025, the grassroots outreach event of the Pediatric Endocrinology, Genetics, and Metabolism Committee of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association was successfully held in Hanzhong. The event was hosted by the Association and co-organized by the Pediatric Endocrinology, Genetics, and Metabolism Committee and the Pediatrics Committee of the Hanzhong Medical Association. Aimed at improving the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric diseases and promoting academic exchange in pediatrics, the event attracted enthusiastic participation from healthcare professionals across all levels of pediatric and related disciplines in the city.

The event featured a wide range of content, covering key topics in pediatric endocrinology, genetic metabolic disorders, and infectious diseases. In the morning, a public consultation and joint diagnostic session focusing on children’s growth and development was held at Hanzhong Central Hospital. In the afternoon, a series of academic lectures were delivered by leading experts, who shared standardized case-based approaches and the latest developments on topics including: key points in the diagnosis and treatment of influenza amid multi-pathogen respiratory infections, pediatric obesity and type 2 diabetes, child development and emotional regulation, and the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric short stature.

On one hand, the event provided a high-level academic platform for pediatric healthcare workers in Hanzhong to access cutting-edge academic knowledge and clinical experience, helping enhance their professional competence and clinical skills. On the other hand, by focusing on endocrine, genetic metabolic, and infectious diseases in children, the event effectively contributed to improving the standardization of diagnosis and treatment and advancing overall child health in the region.
