2025 Academic Conference of the Radiology Committee of Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association Successfully Held

On May 24, 2025, the 2025 Academic Conference of the Radiology Committee of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association (SIMEPA) was successfully convened in Xi’an. The event was hosted by SIMEPA and organized by Northwest University Affiliated Hospital • Xi’an Third Hospital. The opening ceremony was attended by Chen Zhao, President of SIMEPA; Zhang Ming, Chair of the Radiology Branch of the Shaanxi Medical Association; and Yang Junle, President of Xi’an Third Hospital and Chair of SIMEPA’s Radiology Committee, who each delivered remarks. More than 200 radiology experts and scholars from within and outside the province participated in the conference.

The event featured keynote presentations by prominent experts from top medical institutions, including the First and Second Affiliated Hospitals of Xi’an Jiaotong University, Qilu Hospital of Shandong University, Zunyi Medical University Affiliated Hospital, and Xi’an Third Hospital. In addition, young and mid-career experts from institutions such as Xijing Hospital, Tangdu Hospital, Shaanxi Provincial People’s Hospital, Provincial Cancer Hospital, Yan’an University Affiliated Hospital, the Affiliated Hospital of Shaanxi University of Chinese Medicine, and multiple major hospitals in Xi’an (Red Cross Hospital, Chest Hospital, Children’s Hospital, TCM Hospital, and the First, Third, and Ninth Hospitals) delivered engaging and insightful lectures.

In addition to two main sessions focused on diagnostic imaging, this year’s conference also featured a special session on interventional radiology. Experts from clinical specialties such as neurology, neurosurgery, cardiology, and vascular interventional medicine were invited to deliver academic presentations on interdisciplinary advancements in interventional techniques.

The academic conference of the Radiology Committee of SIMEPA aims to serve as a high-quality platform for academic exchange and collaboration, to support the development of radiology talent pipelines, and to drive technological innovation in radiological medicine—contributing to the advancement of healthcare in Shaanxi Province.
