Egyptian Medical Experts Visit Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital for Academic Exchange

From June 5 to June 9, 2025, at the invitation of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association, Prof. Mohamed Gamaleldin Abdelhamid Elashhab, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Benha University, Egypt, visited Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital for an academic exchange.

On June 6, the “China–Egypt Orthopedic Medicine Academic Exchange Conference was held at the main campus of Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Jiao, Fuyong, Honorary President of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association and Honorary President of the Children’s Hospital of Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital. Vice President Duan, Jianglong attended the meeting and, on behalf of the hospital’s National Demonstration Base for Attracting Global Talent and Intelligence, appointed Prof. Mohamed as the overseas liaison of the base, expressing the hope that, as a core expert, he would play a leading role in helping the base invite more internationally renowned medical experts to visit Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital.

At the same time, on behalf of the Faculty of Medicine at Benha University, Prof. Mohamed signed a scientific research cooperation agreement with the National Demonstration Base for Attracting Global Talent and Intelligence at Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital. The hospital will carry out deeper international exchanges and scientific research cooperation with the Faculty of Medicine at Benha University.

Subsequently, Prof. Mohamed delivered lectures titled Unicompartmental Knee Replacement and Acetabular Bone Defect, the Nightmare for the hospital’s medical staff. Accompanied by Deputy Director Duan, Dapeng of the Orthopedic Department, he visited the department and operating rooms, and exchanged views on orthopedic surgery and imaging analysis.
