2025 Annual Meeting and Academic Symposium of the Emergency and Resuscitation Committee of SIMEPA Successfully Held

 

On September 26, 2025, the 2025 Annual Academic Meeting of the Emergency and Resuscitation Committee of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association (SIMEPA), along with the finals of the Weiyang District Emergency Skills Competition, was successfully held at Xi’an Third Hospital. The event was jointly organized by SIMEPA, the Weiyang District Health Bureau, and Xi’an Third Hospital, and hosted by the Emergency and Resuscitation Committee of SIMEPA, the Weiyang District Emergency Quality Control Center, and the Weiyang District Urban Medical Group. Under the theme “Staying True to Our Mission, Strengthening the Foundation, and Protecting Life,” the event provided a high-quality platform for skills competition and academic exchange among emergency care professionals.

The atmosphere at the finals of the emergency skills competition was both intense and energetic. Contestants demonstrated skilled and precise operations, fully showcasing their solid professional competencies. During the required-question segment, participants remained calm and answered confidently; during the buzzer round, teams responded rapidly and worked seamlessly together, displaying exceptional professional performance throughout the fierce competition.

After several rounds of evaluation, the Hancheng Community Health Service Center won the first prize. The Changqing Community Health Service Center and Tanjia Community Health Service Center received second prizes. Shaanxi University of Science and Technology Hospital, Weiyang District Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, and Xi’an Jin Hong Hospital received third prizes. In addition, nine institutions received excellence awards, and eight contestants—including Zhang, Jiayi—were honored with the “Skill Star” individual award.

The concurrent academic symposium invited Prof. Wu, Lin from Xijing Hospital and Prof. Wang, Yanjun from Honghui Hospital to serve as moderators and panel experts. Prof. Wang, Qi from Tangdu Hospital, Prof. Wu, Dong from Shaanxi Provincial People’s Hospital, Prof. Chang, Mingze from Xi’an Third Hospital, and Prof. Gao, Feng from Weinan Central Hospital delivered keynote lectures. The experts shared insights on core topics such as advancements in emergency diagnosis and treatment, emergency platform development, and clinical decision-making. Their presentations combined theoretical depth with practical value, helping attendees strengthen emergency clinical thinking and broaden their academic perspectives.

In his concluding remarks, Liu, Yadong, Chair of the Emergency and Resuscitation Committee of SIMEPA and Director of the Weiyang District Emergency Quality Control Center, stated that the event effectively enhanced the professional competence and teamwork capabilities of emergency personnel, laying a solid foundation for building a regional emergency care system. He emphasized that the committee will continue to serve as a bridge and platform, promoting the dissemination of emergency and resuscitation technologies and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, contributing to the creation of a more efficient and high-quality emergency service system and strengthening the protection of public health and safety.
