Shaanxi Province Multidisciplinary Management Training Program on Difficult and Rare Rheumatic and Immunologic Diseases Successfully Held

On November 29, the Shaanxi Province Multidisciplinary Management Training Program on Difficult and Rare Rheumatic and Immunologic Diseases was successfully held in Xi’an. The program was hosted by the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association and jointly organized by the Rheumatology and Immunology Professional Committee of the Association and the Department of Rheumatology and Immunology of the Shaanxi Provincial People’s Hospital. Medical professionals from multiple healthcare institutions actively participated in the training, with more than 60 attendees on site and over 300 participants attending online.

During the training program, thematic sessions were conducted on advances in the diagnosis and treatment of antisynthetase syndrome and the application of synovial biopsy in the precision treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. Core physicians also shared challenging and rare clinical cases, including polyarteritis nodosa, hemophagocytic syndrome, rapidly progressive interstitial lung disease, and aortitis, among others.

This training program provided a high-quality academic exchange platform for the development of rheumatology and immunology in Shaanxi Province, effectively promoting improvements in the management of complex and critically ill rheumatic and immunologic diseases as well as enhancing primary-level healthcare service capacity across the region.

Looking ahead, the Professional Committee will continue to deepen multidisciplinary collaboration, promote the downward extension of high-quality medical resources, strengthen multidisciplinary management of difficult and rare rheumatic and immunologic diseases, and further advance the overall diagnostic and treatment capacity for rheumatic and immunologic diseases in Shaanxi Province, making greater contributions to the development of Healthy Shaanxi.
