On December 6, 2025, the Annual Meeting of the Hemangioma and Vascular Malformation Professional Committee of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association and the Fourth Western Academic Symposium on Hemangioma and Vascular Malformations, hosted by the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association and organized by the The Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University, successfully concluded in Xi’an.

The conference was chaired throughout by Guo, Xinkui, Chair of the Hemangioma and Vascular Malformation Professional Committee of the Association, Conference President, and Professor of Pediatric Surgery at The Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University.

As a specialized academic conference focusing on the field of hemangioma and vascular malformations, the event attracted more than one hundred experts and scholars from across the country as well as from various cities and counties within Shaanxi Province. Participants engaged in in-depth exchanges centered on frontier developments and clinical practice in this field, coming together for an academic gathering that combined strong professionalism with practical relevance.

The morning academic program was compact and efficient. Ten well-known experts and scholars from national, provincial, and municipal levels took the stage in succession, delivering insightful presentations on core diagnostic and therapeutic topics related to hemangioma and vascular malformations, drawing upon their own clinical experience and research achievements.

The afternoon science popularization knowledge competition broke away from the traditional academic conference format and became a major highlight of the event through its innovative approach. Contestants from 12 medical institutions across Shaanxi Province competed on the same stage, fully demonstrating creativity by deeply integrating professional medical knowledge with diverse communication formats. Through PPT-based visual presentations, self-produced science popularization short videos, situational skits, and even the introduction of AI-based interactive dialogue, complex professional knowledge on hemangioma and vascular malformations was transformed into science popularization content that was accessible, vivid, and engaging.
