Re-election Meeting and Academic Conference of the Nephrology and Blood Purification Professional Committee of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association Successfully Held

On December 6, 2025, the Re-election Meeting and Academic Conference of the Nephrology and Blood Purification Professional Committee of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association, hosted by the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association and organized by the The Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University, was held in Xi’an. Experts in the field of nephrology and blood purification from medical institutions across the country attended the conference.

During the re-election meeting, following a democratic election, Fu, Rongguo, Director of the Department of Nephrology at The Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University, was elected as Chair. Lei, Genping, Vice President of the Affiliated Hospital of Shaanxi University of Chinese Medicine, and Zhang, Li, Director of the Department of Nephrology at the Xi’an Fourth Hospital, were elected as Advisors. Yu, Xiaoyong, Lu, Wanhong, Zhao, Yingyong, and twelve other experts were elected as Vice Chairs, and Chen, Zhao was elected as Secretary-General.

The newly elected Chair, Fu, Rongguo, delivered a statement. She noted that, under the leadership of the Association, the new committee will unite all members and colleagues from within and outside the province, focus on building a high-level academic exchange platform, promote clinical research, technological innovation, and talent cultivation in the fields of nephrology and blood purification, advance international medical exchange, and contribute to improving the prevention and treatment of kidney diseases in Shaanxi Province and surrounding regions.

This academic exchange activity brought together leading domestic experts and scholars, who engaged in in-depth dialogue on frontier advances in nephrology and blood purification, clinical diagnosis and treatment as well as nursing practice, and future disciplinary development trends. The conference specially invited renowned nephrology experts from multiple top medical institutions across China to deliver academic reports and share the latest research achievements, and to conduct interactive discussions centered on clinical challenges.

This conference not only successfully completed the organizational renewal of the Professional Committee, but also established an academic exchange platform featuring deep integration of “clinical care and nursing.” The successful convening of the meeting injected new vitality and momentum into the standardized development and high-quality growth of the nephrology and blood purification field in Shaanxi Province.
