2025 Annual Meeting and Academic Conference of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Pediatrics Professional Committee of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association Successfully Held

On December 13, 2025, the 2025 Annual Meeting and Academic Conference of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Pediatrics Professional Committee of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association was successfully concluded at the Ankang Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The conference was hosted by the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association and jointly organized by the Traditional Chinese Medicine Pediatrics Professional Committee of the Association and Ankang Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The meeting was chaired by Hong, Yan, Chair of the Professional Committee and Director of the Department of Pediatrics at Ankang Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

The conference brought together more than 100 pediatric experts, key clinical professionals, and researchers from across the province. Centered on the theme of “integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine approaches to the prevention and treatment of pediatric infectious diseases,” the meeting established a platform for academic exchange and technical inheritance. Based on clinical cases, experts proposed integrated diagnostic and treatment pathways combining traditional Chinese and Western medicine, highlighted key points of external traditional Chinese medicine therapies, and discussed diagnostic and treatment standards as well as the construction of prevention systems, clarifying the critical components of integrated clinical practice. The presentations by the expert team from Ankang Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were both forward-looking and highly practical.

Senior physicians including Hong, Yan analyzed the mechanisms of mixed influenza–adenovirus infections and proposed stratified intervention strategies, demonstrating the advantages of non-pharmacological traditional Chinese medicine therapies. Concurrently, training sessions on appropriate traditional Chinese medicine techniques such as pediatric tuina (therapeutic massage) were conducted. Through hands-on practice, these sessions enhanced participants’ clinical skills.

This conference promoted integrated innovation in pediatric diagnostic and treatment experience. Looking ahead, the Professional Committee will further strengthen the development of specialized alliances and advance the “Traditional Chinese Medicine Services to the Grassroots” initiative, injecting new momentum into the construction of a high-quality pediatric healthcare service system.
