Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association (SXIMEA) - Standardized Diagnosis of Common Systemic Tumor Images and Application of Contrast Agents - Liver Cancer Session Successfully Held

On February 28, 2023, the "Standardized Diagnosis and Contrast Agent Application for Common Tumors Imaging - Hepatocellular Carcinoma," sponsored by SXIMEA, was successfully held online. The conference invited renowned experts and scholars from the imaging field within the province to share difficult cases in tumor imaging diagnosis, academic trends, management experiences, diagnostic and therapeutic methods, among others. Combining theory with practice, it provided a comprehensive, multi-dimensional, and in-depth exploration of the latest progress in tumor imaging diagnosis and contrast agent application. The conference was rich in content, with a peak audience of 595 viewers.

The conference was opened with a speech by Professor Xiaoyan Lei from Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital. The academic session was hosted by Professor Hongzhe Tian from Baoji Central Hospital. First, Professor Honghong Sun from the Second Affiliated Hospital Of Xi'an Jiao Tong University (Xibei Hospital) shared insights on the "Pathology and Imaging Manifestations of Diffuse Hepatocellular Carcinoma." The second academic presentation was conducted by Professor Chuangbo Yang from the Affiliated Hospital of Shaanxi University of Chinese Medicine, who elaborated on the "Application of Gadoteric Acid Disodium in MR Examination of Focal Liver Lesions." Professor Zhenxian Zhang from Yan'an People's Hospital discussed the content shared by the two professors. The academic session was presided over by Professor Yong Yu from the Affiliated Hospital of Shaanxi University of Chinese Medicine. The guest speaker was Professor Li Zhang from Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital, and her presentation was titled "Diagnosis and Differential Diagnosis of Rare Liver Lesions." The final speaker was Professor Jingtao Li from the Affiliated Hospital of Shaanxi University of Chinese Medicine, who provided a detailed and comprehensive interpretation of the "Clinical Diagnosis and Treatment of Precancerous Lesions of Hepatocellular Carcinoma." Professor Baoqi Wang from Yan'an Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital made unique analyses and discussions based on the topics brought by the two speakers.

The conference was concluded by Director Xiaoyan Lei from the Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital. The aim of this conference was to promote the proliferation of experts and hospitals with extensive experience in early precancerous diagnosis throughout the province and even the western region, to boost the proficiency of primary hospital imaging doctors in hepatocellular carcinoma imaging techniques. This collective effort aims to enhance the detection rate of liver tumors, providing clinicians with more valuable surgical time to benefit patients. It also aims to stimulate the development of medical imaging specialties in the Northwestern region, improve professional standards in imaging diagnostics, and aid imaging specialists in enhancing their abilities and levels of image diagnosis and differential diagnosis, thereby jointly propelling progress and development in the field of imaging specialties.
