The Second Session of the Western Immunology MDT Seminar of Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association (SXIMEA) was successfully held.

On March 4, 2022, the Second Session of the Western Immunology MDT Seminar, hosted by the SXIMEA, was successfully held online. The conference invited renowned domestic experts to teach and clinical practitioners from medical institutions at all levels throughout the province engaged in immunological diseases to share academic exchanges. The conference is dedicated to the development of the immunology field, and the maximum number of viewers reached 595.

The conference began with opening remarks from Professor Ping Zhu and Professor Kaichun Wu, both from the First Affiliated Hospital of the Air Force Medical University (Xijing Hospital) The academic segment was chaired by Professor Jing Zhu from Sichuan Provincial People’s Hospital. The first academic sharing was given by Professor Xinping Tian from Peking Union Medical College Hospital on the topic of “Interferons and Rheumatic Diseases”. The second academic sharing was chaired by Professor Jianglin Zhang from the First Medical Center of People’s Liberation Army (PLA) General Hospital, and detailed explanations were provided by Professor Jie Liang from Xijing Hospital on “Clinical Progress of Small Molecule Drugs in IBD Treatment”. The third academic sharing was chaired by Professor Nan Leng from Xijing Hospital. Detailed explanations were provided by Professor Xiaomei Leng from Peking Union Medical College Hospital on “Selective JAK Inhibitors Initiate a New Chapter in Targeted Treatment of PsA”. The fourth academic sharing was chaired by Professor Xiaoqing Li from Xi’an Children’s Hospital. Detailed explanations were given by Professor Kui Zhang from Xijing Hospital on “Forty years of ‘Pursuit’, on the Road - T Cells in the Pathogenesis of Rheumatoid Arthritis”.

During the discussion segment, Professor Ping Zhu and Professor Kaichun Wu, both from Xijing Hospital, acted as moderators. Professor Xiang Wang from the Second Hospital of Lanzhou University and Professor Xin Liu from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiao Tong University engaged in a discussion about the content shared by the four professors mentioned earlier.

The conference was concluded by Professor Ping Zhu from Xijing Hospital. This meeting has played an active role in promoting the development of the immunology field and the transformation of scientific research achievements. It has promoted the development and popularization of new products, benefiting a broad range of patients. It also aims to further enhance the level of clinical diagnosis and treatment of immunological diseases by physicians and provide better health services to the people of Sanqin.
