This allowed the Canadian experts to deeply appreciate the unique characteristics and techniques of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment and rehabilitation of brain diseases.

At the symposium, Dean Huojie Song introduced the construction progress of the hospital and the National Traditional Chinese Medicine Service Export Base. They proposed three key focus areas for the future from the Canadian side: first, to integrate traditional Chinese medicine into the public education system; second, to establish a department of traditional Chinese medicine within the public health system; and third, to collaborate with the hospital in the future to build an international treatment center in North America.

Zhao Chen, the president of the SXIMEA, and Yachun Zhao, a fourth-level researcher at the Shaanxi Provincial Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, delivered welcome speeches. They pointed out that the hospital has rich experience in Belt and Road cooperation and expressed hope that through today’s exchange, the hospital can leverage its strengths and characteristics to initiate good cooperation with the traditional Chinese medicine community in Canada.

It has laid a good foundation for deeper and broader cooperation in the field of traditional Chinese medicine services trade between Shaanxi and North America.
