The Academic Annual Meeting of the Endocrinology and Diabetes Special Committee of the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association (SXIMEA) was successfully held.

On April 15, 2023, the first Academic Annual Meeting and Endocrine Metabolic Disease New Progress Study Class, sponsored by the SXIMEA and organized by the Endocrinology and Diabetes Special Committee of the SXIMEA, as well as the Endocrinology and Diabetes Hospital of the Shaanxi People's Hospital, was successfully launched.

Renowned professors from Beijing, Chongqing, Hunan, and within the province delivered exciting lectures and exchanges. Endocrinologists from 8 medical institutions within the province shared fascinating case studies through a competition, with approximately 200 people from hospitals at all levels across the province attending the event in person.

Firstly, President Zhao Chen and Vice President Jianhua Wang awarded the 2022 Excellent Special Committee and Excellent Chairman Honorary Certificates to the Special Committee and Chairwoman Xiaofeng Li. Chairwoman Xiaofeng Li presented the 2022 Advanced Individual Honorary Certificates of the Special Committee to Lingjiao Liu and Heming Chen, and awarded the newly added Deputy Chairman Certificates to directors Hui Li, Xinqiong Liu, Heming Chen, and Aihua Jia. 

During the academic exchange and discussion session, Professor Jingtao Dou from the First Medical Center of the Chinese People's Liberation Army PLA General Hospital, Professor Qifu Li from Chongqing Medical University, and Professor Xia Li from the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University delivered lectures. Famous professors from our province, such as Qiuhe Ji, Kai Jiao, Peng Hou, and Tianbu Zhang, also provided lectures, chaired sessions, and engaged in discussions. The content covered a range of topics, including sexual development abnormalities, adrenal tumors, diagnosis and treatment of thyroid cancer, new progress in the diagnosis and treatment of Type 1 diabetes, diabetic nephropathy, and hyponatremia.

Vice President Fuyong Jiao attended the case competition session, in which young doctors from the Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital, the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiao Tong University the Second Affiliated Hospital Of Xi'an Jiao Tong University (Xibei Hospital)  , Xi'an Central Hospital, Xi’an No.4 Hospital, the Affiliated Hospital of Northwest University (Xi'an No.3 Hospital), the Ninth Hospital of Xi’an, and other affiliated hospitals of Xi'an Medical College presented 8 fascinating clinical cases. After exciting and intense competition, the Ninth Hospital of Xi’an won the first prize in the case competition. Doctor Yaya Fan from the Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital won the second prize, and Qingqing Tian and others from the Xi'an Central Hospital received the Excellence Award.
