The standardization and homogenization training class for medical imaging by the Shaanxi International Medical Exchange Promotion Association (SXIMEA) was successfully held, along with the educational training program of the Shaanxi Provincial Medical Imaging Technology Sub-Committee

“On March 17, 2023, sponsored by the SXIMEA and hosted by the First Affiliated Hospital of the Air Force Medical University (Xijing Hospital), the ‘Medical Imaging Standardization-Homogenization Skill Improvement Class and Shaanxi Provincial Medical Imaging Technology Sub-Committee Education and Training Program’ was successfully held on an online platform. The conference invited renowned experts from the field of imaging technology both within and outside the province, focusing on lectures regarding standardized and homogenized standards for whole-body multi-system, multi-part imaging technology scanning specifications and quality control. Clinical practitioners from all levels of medical institutions across the province who work with immunological diseases participated in academic exchanges and sharing. The highest number of viewers reached 1,029.”

The conference began with opening remarks by Professor Mingguo Shi from the First Affiliated Hospital of the Air Force Medical University (Xijing Hospital) and Professor Haitao Zhao from the Xi’an International Medical Center Hospital.

The first academic sharing was presented by Professor Ziqiao Lei from Union Hospital TONGJI Medical College Huazhong University of Science and Technology on the “Technical Specifications for Pulmonary Artery CTA Examination.” The second academic sharing was conducted by Professor Jinglian Zhong from the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University on the “Technical Specifications and Quality Control for Head and Neck MRA Examination.” The third academic sharing was by Professor Jianxin Guo from the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiao Tong University, focusing on the “Technical Specifications for Bilateral Lower Limb Artery CTA Examination.” The fourth academic sharing was presented by Professor Yingjuan Chang from the First Affiliated Hospital of the Air Force Medical University (Xijing Hospital) on the “Technical Specifications for Non-contrast MRCA Examination.” The fifth academic sharing was conducted by Professor Jian Li from the Shaanxi Provincial People’s Hospital on the “Technical Specifications for Bilateral Lower Limb Artery MRA Examination.” The sixth academic sharing was by Professor Chaowei Ma from the First Affiliated Hospital of the Air Force Medical University (Xijing Hospital), also focusing on the “Technical Specifications for Bilateral Lower Limb Artery MRA Examination.

The conference was concluded by Professor Yingjuan Chang from the First Affiliated Hospital of the Air Force Medical University (Xijing Hospital). In today’s rapidly developing medical imaging technology, enhancing the scanning technical skills of grassroots imaging technicians, especially the younger generation of imaging technicians, highlights the value of precise diagnosis and the forefront of technology. Standardization and homogenization in imaging techniques are of paramount importance and an urgent priority in the development of the medical imaging technology discipline. This conference plays a significant role in improving the standardization level of scanning techniques for medical imaging technicians in our province and promoting homogenized and standardized examinations.
